I booked a couple of one to ones with Lewis for my 11 Month Old Shih Tzu who knows her commends but decides quite often that she’s not in the mood to obey them. Also, she has had a few scrapes with big dogs and I was worried about her lack of recall. I was a little apprehensive given the public perception of remote collars but Lewis put me at ease and had my Shih Tzu walking without pulling in a few minutes and recalling really nicely, and she was not fazed at all by it. I tried the collar first and I couldn’t even feel it at the level Poppy was responding to so I was really happy. The remote collar is a great way of taking the confusion out of things and making things black and white for the dog which I really like. I would definitely recommend Finchpark Dog Training and Lewis to anyone looking for an effective way to communicate with and train your dog. Thanks Lewis.

I sent my 14 month old German shepherd, Ranger on a 2 week residential for tracking training. I was kept informed on his progress throughout the two weeks. On his return it was evident that although he had missed me (one bust nose later) he had enjoyed being with Lewis. He kept returning to Lewis excitedly (shows a lot how a dog has been treated). He returned freshly groomed, perfect weight and happy. I was given honest feedback and future training requirements to keep his training on par. All in all I would highly recommend the Services Lewis has to offer in regards to both pet and work orientated training. Lewis is licenced and inspected for home boarding. He is knowledgeable and experienced and is adaptable to all dogs.

Lewis has helped me tremendously with my GSD who is now 18 months old. Lewis is extremely knowledgable and he has without any doubt a natural affinity with our 4 legged friends who seem to acknowledge this almost immediately. Lewis adopts a firm but fair approach; there is no bullying of any description. I have had a number of 1:1 sessions in obedience and I have been involved in some of Lewis’ group work. Both are enjoyable and extremely rewarding. With Lewis’ help I have been able to eradicate unacceptable behaviours from my GSD such as lunging aggressively at other dogs and at road traffic. This was extremely challenging however with hard work and good advice we got there in the end! My GSD accompanies me wherever possible and she is now well behaved amonst other dogs. She loves our family holidays and is becoming extremely well behaved. Without input from Lewis I know for certain that I would have struggled with my GSD despite being brought up with this breed and despite this being my 4th GSD. Lewis has been instumental in my dogs progress and she is developing into a fine, stable, well behaved dog. I would recommend Lewis to anyone who wants a well behaved pooch and much more !!

My 8 month old Hungarian Vizsla has just finished a week of intensive training with Lewis. The improvement in his behaviour in such a short period of time has been amazing.Much exceeded my expectations. He has gone from pulling me everywhere on his lead to walking calmly by my side . His recall has improved dramatically as has his behaviour in general . Lewis has passed on to me his vast knowledge of dog behaviour and training so hopefully I will be able to carry on his good work !
